How can we help?
Write to hello@fotologue.app with your iPad model and scanner model, and we'll get back to you.
Fotologue can't find my scanner
- Make sure the scanner is on and connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as the iPad.
- Allow Fotologue to find devices on your local network: iPadOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- Fotologue works with scanners that support AirScan (also called eSCL), which includes the Epson ET‑2850 and most Wi‑Fi scanners made since about 2015.
- If it still doesn't appear, enter the scanner's IP address (it looks like 192.168.1.20) in Choose a Scanner. You'll find it on the scanner's network settings screen.
- No scanner nearby? When none is found, Choose a Scanner offers a Sample Scanner so you can try scanning, splitting and reading backs with sample prints.
My scanner was reset or replaced
Open Settings (the gear on the Scan tab), tap Scanner, then Forget This Scanner, and choose it again.
Some prints weren't split correctly
Leave a small gap between prints and keep them away from the edges of the glass. Fotologue finds up to 16 prints in one pass.
Where are my photos saved?
Your Library is in iCloud Drive, in the Fotologue folder of the Files app (or On My iPad if iCloud Drive is off). Each photo is an ordinary image file, with its back saved next to it.
How do I get photos into Apple Photos?
Tap Select in the Library, pick the photos, tap Share and choose Add to Photos. They're dated by the year they were taken and kept in a Fotologue album. To add every new scan automatically, turn on Add New Scans to Photos in Settings. The same Share button sends photos by AirDrop, Messages or Mail, or saves them to Files.
How do I share with family?
Open Settings (the gear on the Scan tab), go to Family Sharing and tap Share Library with Family, then send the invitation in Messages or Mail. Family members open the invitation on their iPad and the photos appear in their Fotologue. Everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud.
I bought Fotologue Pro on another iPad
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings > Fotologue Pro. With Family Sharing turned on, people in your Apple family can use Pro too.
How do I stop sending usage data?
Open Settings in Fotologue and turn off Share Anonymous Usage Data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
